Mr. Lavoie has over 25 years of experience in the Canadian capital markets and venture capital with expertise in mineral exploration and resource development. His expertise spans corporate finance and project finance for resource companies, corporate governance, executive and board management, and financial reporting. Mr. Lavoie has experience in financing mineral exploration projects from concept through to project financing. His expertise includes both gold and industrial minerals. Mr. Lavoie was previously a senior capital markets professional with BNP Paribas in New York and London. Mr. Lavoie has a BA from St Francis Xavier University, an MSc (Econ.) from London School of Economics and an MPhil from Cambridge University.
CEO, President, and Director
Mr. Himmel has 30 years of experience in Corporate Finance, mineral development and exploration, and is also an experienced finance executive having worked in Canadian and international investment banks in the resource and technology sectors. He was previously Founder, President, and CEO of a United States potash development company leading a team of geologists, engineers, and mineral finance professionals, taking the potash asset in New Mexico from concept to completion of feasibility and environmental approval. He has led exploration and development companies focusing on diamond exploration and Uranium exploration in Canada and the United States. Mr. Himmel holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) and Bachelor of Arts (Business and Finance) degrees, both from the University of Toronto. Mr. Himmel received the Chartered Accountant designation in 1981.
Mr. Simeon has over 18 years of experience as a lawyer focused on securities, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Since February 2015 he has been a partner at Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP and has extensive experience in corporate commercial and securities law. Prior to 2015, he was a partner at a boutique corporate law firm in Toronto. Mr. Simeon has a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and a law degree from Osgoode Hall at York University. Mr. Simeon acts as an independent director for several publicly traded companies in Canada.
CFO, Corporate Secretary, and Director
Mr. Collins has over 15 years of corporate experience as an executive, director advisor of private and public companies. His expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, go-public transactions, commercial partnerships, accounting, and corporate governance. In recent engagements with corporate issuers, he has coordinated and executed on fundraisings totaling over $200 million in equity capital and launched active M&A programs for early stage companies. Prior to his current corporate activities, Darren worked for several investment and merchant banks, including Alegro Capital, LP in London, UK, Scotia Capital Inc. and Quest Capital Corp. (now known as Sprott Resource Lending Corp.) in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Collins holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance from Dalhousie University.
Mr. Harari has approximately 10 years of experience in the capital markets and venture capital space. Mr. Harari is current the CEO of IM Exploration Inc. focused on gold, and graphite exploration in Ontario and is also the Founder of Canalis Capital, a merchant bank focused on disruptive industries. Previously, Mr. Harari worked at Credicorp Bank in its private wealth group in Panama and Nomura’s consumer and retail investment banking group based in New York City. Mr. Harari graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering and a minor in engineering entrepreneurship and mathematics. Mr. Harari is an active institutional investor across the mining, energy, and growth industries Mr. Harari also served as the deputy director of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Panama.
Mr. Tintor, a geologist, and mining executive will be an active Executive Director of the Company. He has more than 35 years of experience in the Canadian mining industry and has been involved in all aspects of the junior mining sector including executive management, project generation, corporate finance, and investor relations.
Mr. Tintor holds a B.Sc., Geology from the University of Toronto and is a Qualified Professional Member of the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America and a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. He is also a lifetime member of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada , and a member of PDAC's Securities Committee.
He is also President and CEO of RG Mining Investments Inc., a private investment company and a member of the Boards of Directors of Big Ridge Gold Corp., Benz Mining Corp., Adyton Resources Corp., and Benz Capital Corp.
Mr. Bandrowski, an executive and former research analyst, will be an Independent Director of the Company. For the past 16 years, he has been active in the mineral exploration and development industry as a mining research analyst and mineral exploration and development corporate executive. He holds a B.Sc. in geology and an MBA and has previously served on numerous public and private company boards.
He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Big Ridge Gold Corp., a company which is acquiring an 80 per cent interest in Hope Brook Gold Project of Newfoundland and Labrador , an advanced stage, high-grade gold project. He was Founder of Escarpment Capital Advisors, a premier Canadian mining advisory firm. Over a nine-year period, he was a mining Research Analyst at Beacon Securities Inc., a mining Research Analyst at Clarus Securities Inc., and a Research Associate at Paradigm Capital.
